This group assignment tasked my group to explain on a poster paper what the medulla oblongata is and what does it do in the brain. We first gathered the information from our physiology books and from online to understand the medulla oblongata's function and the detrimental effects that it will have if it were to malfunction. Then after gathering the information, we take out the important information and write it on the poster paper. This assignment is significant because it was then presented to the class to take notes on. This impacted my learning because now I have an extensive knowledge on the medulla oblongata after researching it for the assignment.
This group assignment tasked my group to create a 3d model of an cartoon character and label its anatomical positions. We first created the model by using a hot glue gun to glue together shirts and cotton to form the penguin's body. Next, we used wool to create the head, flippers, and feet. After the model is created, we started to label the positions all around the body. This assignment is important because I was able to understand more of the anatomical positions than before since I can see it in a 3d view. I now know more about anatomical positions than before from working on the 3d model.
